Mumbai is a collection of 7 islands reclaimed to form one unified landmass of about 60 km length and is about 15 km wide. It is serviced by all major airlines from Europe, North America and Asia Pacific region. The city of Mumbai is known as the financial as well as entertainment capital of India. It contributes to about 60+% in terms of national tax earning as well as is home to a large number of business houses amongst which are the Tatas, Reliance etc. The city of Mumbai also has two excellent research institutions - the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). Getting from the airport to the conference The conference registration includes a free pick up from the airport to any hotel within Mumbai on the 15th and 16th of December. To avail this service please send an email to registrations@antsconference.org with your full name, organization name and registration details (confirmation number) and arrival details (flight number, date). A chauffeur will pick you outside the airport just after you clear customs. Look for your name on a white placard. Currency Local currency is rupees (INR). All major credit cards (Visa, MC, Ammex) are accepted by vendors. Gratuity is not typically included in a check. Tips typically do not exceed 10% of the total amount. |
